Myrtilos Liatiko
Our Myrtilos line takes its name from the Ancient Greek hero Myrtilos, the charioteer of King Oenomaos of Peloponese, who gave his name to the Myrtoan Sea. On the label you will find traces of the mosaics that decorated the Roman and Byzantine courts of the Karystian rulers of the time.
Myrtilos Liatiko is made exclusively by the estate owned grapes of the variety Liatiko, planted in 1986. It has a beautiful bouquet with intense floral and bay leaf aromas, characteristic of the variety. It is soft on the mouth with ripe tannins and a fruity aftertaste. Pair it with lentil soup, red meat, burgers, lamb, grilled or roast poultry, Greek “oily” dishes and fresh cheeses.
